Membership
Membership of OxVeg is open to vegetarians and vegans living in and around Oxfordshire. We also offer Supporter Membership for those who are sympathetic to a vegetarian lifestyle, though they may still eat meat or fish. (Support Members have the same benefits as full membership, but will not be able to vote at AGMs, or to stand for a committee post).
If you would like to join OxVeg, please email us at our contact address stating:
* your full name and postal address
* your home telephone number and e-mail address (if applicable)
* a statement declaring that you are a vegetarian or vegan and do not knowingly eat any meat, poultry, game, fish, shellfish, crustaceans, or products derived from the slaughter of any living creatures (vegans eat no animal products, vegetarians do not eat any products derived from the slaughter of animals).
We will inform you of the correct postal address where you can send your cheque or postal order payable to "OxVeg" for
* £5 (individual) / £6 (family) for one year's membership, or £12 (individual) / £15 (family) for three years membership.
If applying for family membership (we define a "family" as two or more persons living at the same address) please enclose the full name of each applicant, their age if under 18 and a statement as to each person's diet. Thank you.
Visitor's membership
Vegetarians and vegans who live outside Oxfordshire but who are visiting the county may apply for visitor's membership of OxVeg. Visiting members receive a membership card that is valid until the end of the following month: for example, if you apply for visitor's membership in July your membership card will be valid until the end of August. To apply for visitor's membership please send us the information listed above together with a cheque or postal order payable to OxVeg for £2 per person.
