OxVeg Christmas Meal
In the spirit of "Catering For All", this year sees a change from our regular venue for our Christmas meal. To confirm your place, please send your menu choice (see below) with a cheque for the full amount (including service charge) made payable to OxVeg to: OxVeg Christmas dinner, 20 Alden Crescent, Barton, Oxford. Starred items are vegan. If you have special requirements not catered for below, please let us know and we will arrange an alternative. We will also ask for a raw vegan option if there is a demand.
Starters:
Roasted plum tomato and basil soup *
Caramelised red onion and goat's cheese tart
Rocket and
watercress salad topped with toasted pinenuts
Mains:
Wild mushroom risotto with shaved parmesan (which we
are told is a veggie equivalent)
Aubergine, tomato and
courgette lasagne topped with mozzarella Marinated tofu with
spiced lentil and slow-roasted butternut squash *
Mediterranean vegetable cous-cous stuffed portabello mushrooms
with tomato sauce *
Desserts:
Rich chocolate brownie with a whisky cream
Roasted apple crumble with creme anglaise
Caramelised banana
with a citrus fruit salad and candied orange *
Orange and
amaretto parfait with a chocolate tweel
